About ENG8

EnergyNetIQ, Lda (ENG8) is a Portuguese deep-tech company developing breakthrough clean energy solutions. Our core technology, the EnergiCell®, is an innovative energy cell that generates heat and electricity from water through controlled plasma and catalysed low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR). This role has been created following approval of our project under the CENTRO 2030 programme – Notice CENTRO2030-2025-14, “Apoio à Criação de Emprego em Microempresas”.

The Role

We are looking for motivated technicians and specialists in physics, mathematics, engineering and related sciences to join our R&D team. You will play a hands-on role in testing, assembling and advancing the EnergiCell, one of the most exciting clean energy technologies currently under development in Europe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting experimental testing, assembly and optimisation of the EnergiCell system
  • Performing measurements, data collection and technical analysis
  • Assisting in subsystem integration and technical validation
  • Contributing to technical documentation and preparation for small-scale production

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree (Level 6) or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields
  • Strong analytical skills with rigorous attention to detail
  • Proven problem-solving ability in technical or scientific environments
  • Ability to work effectively within a small, dynamic team
  • English: B2 or higher (written and spoken)
  • Genuine interest in clean energy and innovative technologies

Advantageous

  • Practical experience with LENR technology, experimental setups or technical measurements
  • Russian: B2 or higher (written and spoken)
  • Working knowledge of Portuguese
  • Familiarity with clean energy research or emerging energy technologies
  • Experience in laboratory environments or prototype development
