an overview

The EnergiCell technology

EnergiCells comprise of two main components: the EnergiCell where the LENR reactions that release energy take place and the system that supports the EnergiCell. The components are mass producible.

The capital cost is 1/3rd of wind and solar, yet it will be able to operate 24/7. The operating cost should be similar to a hydrocarbon generator set without the fuel cost.

The fuel source is the water molecule where the ionised H2O molecule supplies the hydrogen ions needed for catalysed fusion.

A primary energy release mechanism is a catalysed fusion process where protons and neutrons are fused into atomic nuclei.

Energy is released in the form of electricity and heat and with modifications can produce chemical energy in the form of hydrogen and oxygen.

Using the company’s proprietary intellectual property, including patent and patent applications, the amount of energy released is significantly greater than used to form the plasma.

A fusion energy gain factor, usually expressed with the symbol Q, is the ratio of fusion power produced in a fusion reactor to the power required to maintain the plasma in steady state. The condition of Q = 1, when the power being released by the fusion reactions is equal to the required heating power, is referred to as breakeven. When above one the Q is referred to as infinite.

ENG8 has reached this point as it is able to produce more electrical and/or thermal energy than the system requires to power itself.

EnergiCells will be self-powering in 2026, exporting net electrical, thermal and chemical energy, including hydrogen and oxygen.

EnergiCells replicate the conditions that happen within the sun’s corona, generating energy in the form of light and electricity.

origins of the tech

In 2010, Russian theoretical nuclear physicist and academic, Professor Vladimir Leonov, published his Theory of Superunification via Cambridge International Science Publishing, based on Quantum Energetics / super-strong electromagnetic interaction and began working on a precursor of the ENG8 catalysed fusion EnergiCells.

Development

Professor Leonov’s work was taken up by colleagues at a purpose-built laboratory, funded since 2018 by a team lead by Valeria Tyutina, CEO of ENG8.

Today

ENG8’s teams in Europe are developing the EnergiCell technology which has so far been independently validated to generate twice as much thermal and electrical energy than they consume. The team in Europe is now focused on increasing the efficiency of the EnergiCells and preparing ENG8 to start generating revenue from energy sales whilst field testing in 2026.

Independent validation

ENG8 is regularly having its development path independently validated as it hits key technical milestones.

An EnergiCell was first independently validated in the UK in December 2020 by Dr. Robert Morgan from Brighton University. The independent validation showed that 1.8x more energy in the form of heat was released than from the electricity used to power the EnergiCell, the Q1.8.

In 2022 and 2023, independent validation in Portugal by Electrical Technical Institute of Portugal showed Q2 and 2.4. Another laboratory witnessed twice as much electricity being produced than being used to power the device. This is technically an infinite Q and is capable of self-powering and exporting electricity.

It is planned to independently validate a power plant, which produces net thermal and/or electrical energy by the end of Q4 2025, preparing ENG8 to start generating energy sales in 2026.

patents

Intellectual Property

ENG8 has two patent “families” being processed through key national or regional patent offices. Recently, the United States Patent Office, one of the most rigorous institutions, finished their examinations and have notified ENG8 that it is going to grant with 38 claims.

“The claims were not only considered novel, but also inventive. The claims were barely amended through the examination process, which means they offer particularly broad protection around the original core concept of the EnergiCell technology. “
– Greg Sach, ENG8 patent attorney

PRODUCTS & SERVICES

1 Watt to 1KW Range

Will be capable of powering electrical appliances from mobile phones, laptops, lighting systems, bicycles and urban vehicles. Those shown here are battery-sized units ideally coupled with batteries for load balancing. Independently Validated by a leading US laboratory.

1KW to 10KW Range

Are capable of powering the majority of houses and hybrid cars worldwide. Here is a pallet mounted unit in development that could be placed outside or inside a house. Validated by Electrical Technical Institute of Portugal.

10KW to 100KW Range

Enough to power most vehicles, buildings and electrical car charging stations, especially when combined into “quantised” or modular power plants that could produce megawatts of energy. Above is a 6m (20ft) shipping container. Validated by Prof. Robert Morgan, University of Brighton.

“this startup is in a leading position in the race to market”

– Lutz Jaitner, CP Research Group
